As anyone who knows me knows, I've always been fascinated by voices - accents, timbre of the voice, how people use their voices. At the cinema one day, it struck me t hat it's always a male voice doing the movie trailers. As I found out when I started work on this story, women have voiced movie trailers over the years, but you'll be lucky to hear one. I wanted to find out why. I spoke to several movie industry experts for the piece. Check out the retired Hollywood producer whose honesty was refreshing even if his statements were depressing.
