I produce The Broad Experience, a bi-monthly podcast and online audio show all about women and the workplace. I incubated and launched the show in 2012 while I was a Tow-Knight fellow on CUNY’s entrepreneurial journalism program. I cast a journalistic eye on a vast, rich topic. There’s a lot of nuance missing from most coverage of women and work. That’s what I deliver every two weeks with each new show. Most episodes tackle a particular theme, such as women in tech, why women tend to stay in jobs longer than men, or what men have to say about women and workplace equality. You can check out a few testimonials here.
In 2014 I wrote a guest post on women and job tenure for Entrepreneur.com. I’ve been interviewed on women’s engagement at work by Business News Daily. I’ve also been interviewed on WNYC’s popular news and talk program The Brian Lehrer Show and on Kansas City Public Radio’s daily news show Up to Date. The Broad Experience has been featured on many best podcast lists over the years, from the Guardian to Fortune.
I’ve blogged on women and work for The Hired Guns, a New York City digital talent agency. I’ve written for Women of Influence Magazine (Canada). From 2013 – 2014 I wrote a monthly column on women and work for Metro, the commuter newspaper.
